Inclusion & Diversity
ESCP shares its commitment to diverse & inclusive leadership on the occasion of the International Day of Women’s Rights

Every year on the 8th of March, we are reminded that gender inequalities continue to persist in both business and society.

According to the World Economic Forum’s 2023 Global Gender Gap Report, the current rate of progress indicates that it will take 169 years to close the Economic Participation and Opportunity gender gap.

In order to combat discrimination and accelerate progress, we must do our part to raise awareness among young professionals right from their training and promote women's leadership in the business world.

Respect for women's rights is fundamental to ensuring the rights of all mankind. I am convinced that learning is the first right, because knowledge and training are essential to the personal, professional and social development of all.
The entire ESCP community is therefore working to ensure that everyone has access to education, so that we can build a better future with and for everyone.

A commitment to promoting women’s leadership from the classroom to the workplace

In the 1970s, ESCP became the first French business school to welcome a female student at a time when higher education was still divided. Ever since, the school has been committed to promoting women's leadership in the corporate world and is developing European programmes designed to address the many issues faced by women in the workplace and in leadership roles.

ESCP has launched programmes such as the Women in Leadership certificate and the Women in Finance chair. In parallel to its programmes, ESCP Business School offers a range of scholarships specifically dedicated to female leaders to empower them to transform companies.

In 2022, the school has also put in place a Gender Equality Plan to combat gender discrimination in the workplace.

These commitments were recognised in the latest Financial Times Global MBA ranking, in which ESCP ranked among the top 10 business schools in the world for the percentage of women on its faculty and is also one of only three schools to have a 50-50 gender split.

As an academic partner of PWN and the Women’s Forum, we are committed to working alongside the business and academic community to speed up progress and close the gender gap. Because women’s rights are human rights.
