Dr Ling Eleanor Zhang is Associate Professor in Management at ESCP Business School, London Campus, UK. Her expertise covers a wide range of topics in cross-cultural management, such as global mobility, multiculturalism, language in international business, geopolitics and international business, workplace diversity and qualitative research method.
Ling’s research contributes to a deeper understanding of people management in organisations. Specifically, she researches migrants, business expatriates and transnational workers from a language, identity, gender, and geopolitical perspective. A central thread of her research is interaction across boundaries, which is manifested in various research settings such as the firm-level activities employees of multinational corporations engage in across national borders.
Ling has published her research widely in academic journals such as Journal of International Business Studies, Journal of World Business, Gender, Work & Organization, and International Business Review. She also disseminates her research findings in both academic and commercial book format.
Ling co-founded CYGNA Supporting Women in Academia Network in June 2014. The main objective of the group is to promote interaction among female academics based in the London area and to provide a forum for learning, support, and networking.
